Purchasing, Shipping, and Returns Conditions

At Somelye, we want your shopping experience to be as round and balanced as our wines. Here we explain, without fine print, how our orders and shipping work, and what happens if something doesn't go as expected. By purchasing on our website, you accept these conditions.

1. General Terms & Conditions (T&C)

Our mission is to bring you personalized selections, but the wine trade has strict rules that we comply with to the letter for your safety and ours.

A. The Golden Rule: Sale to Minors and Responsible Consumption

  • Sale to minors prohibited: At Somelye we strictly comply with current legislation. The sale of alcoholic beverages is strictly prohibited to minors under 18 years of age (or the legal age in your country of residence).
  • Checkout Verification: Instead of using invasive pop-ups, we will ask you to explicitly confirm your legal age by checking a mandatory box right before finalizing your payment. If we detect fraudulent information, we will immediately cancel the order.
  • Toast with a clear head: Wine is culture, enjoyment, and moderation. At Somelye we promote responsible consumption.

B. Purchase Process: Your order step by step

  • 1. Selection: Add your wines or personalized box to the cart.
  • 2. Checkout: Enter your shipping details and confirm your legal age.
  • 3. Secure Payment: You will be redirected to our encrypted gateway. We accept Credit/Debit card, Apple Pay, and Google Pay.
  • 4. Confirmation: You will receive an instant email with your order summary and tracking number.

C. Prices and Taxes

  • All prices shown on www.somelye.wine include the applicable VAT in Spain.
  • If you buy from the Canary Islands, Ceuta, Melilla or outside the EU, local taxes and customs fees will be your responsibility upon receiving the package.

2. Shipping and Delivery Policy: From vineyard to your door

We know that when you order wine, you want to enjoy it as soon as possible. We work with special reinforced boxes so that the bottles travel safe and sound from sudden temperature changes.

A. Rates and Delivery Times

We prepare orders from Monday to Friday. If you purchase before 13:00h, your order leaves that same day.

  • Mainland (Spain): 24 - 48 business hours.
  • Balearic Islands: 48 - 72 business hours.
  • Canary Islands, Ceuta and Melilla: Check availability.

B. What if you're not home?

Wine is a delicate product and we don't want it to spend the weekend in a courier's warehouse.

  • The courier will make 2 delivery attempts.
  • If they cannot locate you, they will leave a notice so you can arrange a new delivery or pick it up at a nearby Parcel Shop.
  • Somelye Tip: If you work outside your home, we recommend using your work address or a pickup point to ensure first-time delivery.

3. Returns Policy: Quick and stress-free solutions

By law (Right of Withdrawal), you have 14 calendar days from when you receive your order to change your mind. However, since it is a food product (wine), there are some exceptions and specific processes.

A. Return Scenarios

  • 1. "I changed my mind" (Withdrawal): You can return the bottles as long as they are sealed, unopened, and in perfect condition. Return shipping costs will be at your expense.
  • 2. The box arrived broken or stained: Do not accept the package! Tell the courier you reject it due to breakage. Write us immediately at somelye@somelye.wine and we will send you a new box at no additional cost within 24h.
  • 3. The wine is defective (e.g., Cork taint or TCA): It happens in the best wineries. If you open a bottle and notice the wine is in bad condition, put the cork back in (the bottle must be at least 3/4 full). Contact us within 7 days of opening. We will collect it for analysis and, if we confirm the defect, we will replace it or refund your money.

B. How to request a return?

  • 1. Write to somelye@somelye.wine with the subject "Return + Your Order Number".
  • 2. Briefly tell us the reason (attach photos if the box arrived damaged).
  • 3. We will send you instructions and a shipping label (if applicable) in less than 48 hours.

C. Refunds

Once we receive the wine in our warehouse and check its condition, we will issue the refund to the same payment method you used. The money will take between 5 and 10 business days to appear in your account, depending on your bank.
